BETA बेटा was created through the curation and partnership of Arts Revelstoke and Dance West Network’s PIVOT: Digital Collaborations Programming. This work premiered at Luna Arts Festival in Revelstoke, and was witnessed by approximately 5000 people.
BETA बेटा was a prototype, digital installation that plays with the mediums of film, volumetric film and animation. The story explores a mortal who finds herself traveling through dimensions to begin her search for someone who passed on.
My piece on it: When I made BETA बेटा, originally I was researching something else. But before the premiere, when my Dadoo (grandpa) passed away, I watched the story of BETA बेटा change. It had a life of its own, and I merely became an old friend to the work in progress. I left it completely and watched it become a story of a girl who is desperate for another dimension to find someone she loves.
This project is created in partnership with Arts Revelstoke.
